My Background
Massage therapy has been a dream of mine since growing up with a father that had serious back injuries. Seeing the help and healing that massage did for him encouraged me to want to pursue this future for myself. I studied at the Northwest Academy of the Healing Arts in Bellingham WA and have been practicing on Orcas Island for the last year. I am a licensed massage therapist, and have learned a mixture of Swedish and deep tissue techniques, as well as stretching and joint mobilization. I hope to pursue other avenues of credentialing as I grow in my study of massage therapy and look forward to continue to learn and grow as a therapist.

My Approach
I believe massage can be a first step in the restoration and healing of the whole body. Massage has great benefits for relaxation, stress relief, encouraging circulation and increasing mobility. I use a mixture of Swedish and deep tissue techniques. I approach every client as their own unique individual self and I like to learn about each client's concerns, pains and discomforts to better know how to treat them. Communication is the key to success in a massage session, so throughout the massage I will check in with my client making sure they are comfortable and receiving the care they deserve.
